AUTHOR
HOWARD E. FERGUS
, PhD, KBE, is a leading historian and poet from Montserrat. The author of over 20 books and monographs in the areas of history, education, politics, poetry, and literary criticism has been published in the Caribbean and Europe. Honors and awards include theThe Caribbean Writer Poetry Prize, David Hough Literary Prize, Montserrat Badge and Certificate of Honor; University of the West Indies Vice Chancellor’s Award of Excellence; and a knighthood (KBE). A professor of Eastern Caribbean Studies, Dr. Fergus has been acting periodically as Governor of Montserrat since 1976. Other poetry collections are: The Arrow Poems and Saturday Soup (2010), Poems From Behind God Back (2011) and Obama and other poems (2012).
