RHODA ARRINDELL heads the Language Division at the University of St. Martin and lectures in English Composition, Caribbean Literature, and Elements of Literature. Arrindell holds a master's in education administration (University of the Virgin Islands) and a propaedeuse diploma in law (University of the Netherlands Antilles). Arrindell is a doctoral candidate in linguistics, with a specialization in creole languages at the University of Puerto Rico. She was an editor for The Progressive during the late 1980s and copy editor for The Chronicle in the late 1990s. Arrindell is the current editor of EnviroNews magazine and the senior freelance editor for House of Nehesi Publishers. In 2003, she was an instructor for the HNP Creative Writing Program. She has presented scholarly papers on the literature and culture of St. Martin at regional conferences.
