AUTHOR
WALTER PALM born in 1951 in Curaçao belongs to the Palm family, the famous family of musicians. He debuted in his twenties with poems in the Antillean literary magazine ‘Watapana’. In 2001 he is appointed to Ridder in de Orde van Oranje Nassau for his work. In 2005 he is included in the prestigious ‘Spiegel van de moderne Nederlandse en Vlaamse dichtkunst’, the literary hall of fame of all important modern Dutch poets. Een serenade voor mijn Shéhérazade is, after Met lege handen ging ik slapen, met een gedicht werd ik wakker (2002) and Sierlijke golven krullen van plezier (2009), his third collection of poems published by In de Knipscheer.
