Fer likes acrobatic tours. When on an evening, before going to bed, he does a handtsand, he noticed someone watching him. It turned out to be a piet. This piet asks Fer if he wants to go to the Netherlands as an acrobat piet, where Sint is celebrating his birthday. Fer is all enthousiastic. Once in the house of Sinterklaas a surprise awaits him.

De vrolijkste verjaardag van Sinterklaas tells about the sinterklaas celebration from different perspectives. It is an illustrated book of this celebration from different angles, than knowm up to now. 

AUTHOR
HENNA GOUDZAND NAHAR, writer, gives a reaction on the different perspectives that are now on the sinterklaas celebration, on the sinterklaas and his servant and on the sinterklaas book of 1850 from the teacher Jan Schenkman and that was model for the celebration during these last 163 years. Schenkman wanted to give the Sint more prestige en provided him with a black servant. During the years this serant changed in the person of zwarte piet.
