AUTHOR
FRIDA DOMACASSÉ (Aruba, 1938) spent her childhood in Lago Heights, a neighborhood where people of different nationalities lived. This has inspired her to write. She wrote musical stories in Papiamentu for children. In addition, she also wrote plays for parents and teachers of the elementary school. She writes short stories and poems in Dutch, Papiamentu and English. She published Dans [Dance] (2006), Kurason kibrá Kurason hinté/Heel mijn gebroken [With all my broken heart] (2007), Fontein en andere verhalen [Fontein & other stories] (2009), Voetstappen op de rots [Footsteps on the Rock] (2011), Homenahe/Tribute (2015), Love is Love (2015) en Nostalgia (2016). Her poems have appeared in literary works such as Wie ik ben/Ta ken mi ta [Who I am] (2011) and Topa Tula/Ontmoet Tula [Meet Tula] (2012).
