If we talk about the literature of the six islands of the Netherlands Antilles, it was always spoken about the 'Antillian literature'. Cola Debrot wielded around 1977, despite reservations, the term, ‘Antillian literature’ encompassing also the literature of Aruba. At thay time tere wasn’t an Aruban literature.

This book shows the Aruban literature from the first half of the 20th century. Habibe poses  in his work: is there an Aruban literature?
