POLITICS

View from a personal experience of the writer with the foreign policy of country Aruba. In accordance with the Statute of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, external relations and defense are Kingdom affairs. Close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Hague is a requirement, it is recommended and appreciated. In the final analysis, in the light of the interests of all partners, there is one foreign policy.

AUTHOR
WILHELMUS (WICKY) P.M. SCHOUTEN, born in 1951 in Venlo, Netherlands from a family of a Dutch father and a Aruban mother, the family Schouten-Ecury.
In 1990 the author studied at the Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano and obtained the title of Diplomat in Foreign Relations.
After a short time working at the external relations office in Willemstad, Curaçao, he got an assignment. In 1984 he graduated the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, the Graduate School of Tufts University, "administered with the cooperation of Harvard University", Medford, Massachusetts USA.
In 1986 he co-founded the Agency Directorate External Relations Aruba.
